Global Game Jam 2009 Entry: Robots & Girl

The Global Game Jam is an event where people meet around the world for a 48 hour game-making blitz. Our team of five (three coders and two artists) came together at the Carleton University site.

The theme for the 2009 jam was "as long as we have each other, we'll never run out of problems". Our game features two tiny robots pining for the affection of a little girl. While rivals, they must cooperate in order to navigate through the house collecting pieces of macaroni in order to make her a necklace to win her over.

Jetpack or ninja-rope, which will you choose? Magnetic repulsion between robots both helps and hinders your platforming ability.

The game was coded in C# (Microsoft XNA) and uses two Xbox 360 gamepads for input.

Please excuse the lack of a floor in level 2, we were very tired.
